ServiceNow Upgrade Scheduled April 10

Monday, March 29, 2021

On April 10, ServiceNow will upgrade to the latest version, Paris, to optimize technical functionality and meet compliance standards. By running the latest version, we’ll continue to ensure that we are providing the Stanford community with the best support possible.

To accommodate this upgrade, access to ServiceNow will be down on Saturday, April 10 from 8 a.m. to noon.

As this is a technical upgrade, it should not impact the look or feel of the platform. However, if you experience an issue after the upgrade, please submit a Help request.

Future enhancements

The Paris upgrade will pave the way for future improvements for ServiceNow. Here’s a look at some of the new services and features on our 2021 roadmap:

  • Agent Workspace will streamline customer interactions by providing a command and control center for fulfillers to view ticket information (including user info and assets) in one place.
  • Field Service Management will connect field service with other teams and mobile tools including asset tracking, scheduling, and maintenance tracking.
  • A new project will improve ordering University IT services in an effort to provide an optimal user experience through ServiceNow.
  • A new University IT solution will offer a centralized service for managing the lifecycle of department computers and computer accessories, enabling campus partners to quickly and easily purchase and deploy new equipment to faculty and staff.
