Starting Nov. 13, you may notice an improvement in the way your contacts are displayed in Google Suite.
While searching for a Stanford contact in Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google tool, you’ve likely come across a duplicate email address for that person, which contains “zm88” in the domain name.
This secondary address, used for routing changes on the backend, is no longer needed and will soon disappear from your pre-populated list view — streamlining your choices and making it easier to find who you're looking for.
This change will not affect how you interact with any of your Google applications. You will simply have fewer suggestions and an easier experience when trying to find the desired recipient you are trying to collaborate with.
This update will go into effect over a 24-hour period starting Nov. 13. For any questions or concerns regarding the change, please submit a Help request to University IT.
