The new Research Lab Support service, provided by Computer Resource Consulting (CRC) in University IT, is specifically designed to assist with operational and strategic IT support for research endpoints.
The service provides IT solutions to support a lab’s day-to-day operations including workstation maintenance and configuration, data management facilitation, and device compliance remediation. Additionally, we can provide guidance and advocacy in facilitating support requests with other UIT services. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that a lab's IT environment is not just functional, but optimized for performance and reliability.

What early adopters are saying
Here's what some of our early adopters are saying about their experience with the Research Lab Support service:
"The Research Lab Support team has provided exceptional support for our Linux workstation and lab computing environment that is not supported by any other entity at Stanford. They are professional, knowledgeable, and timely. The Research Lab Support team has learned the quirky specifics of the software tools and compute environments that we use and develop in our research. They ensure that our operating systems, compute environments, and software tools are up to date, help us maintain backups and retrievals, and keep our productivity up by ensuring that we have no downtimes on our lab machines."
– Dr. Kalanit Grill-Spector, Psychology Department Chair, Lab Director, Stanford Vision and Perception Neuroscience Lab
"SDSS is partnering with UIT and the CRC Research Lab Support Service team to provide consultative support together with a reliable technology support model for our shared labs. This new service delivers immediate value by allowing our shared research lab team members to focus more of their time toward their research, benefiting the school and the University."
– John Freshwaters, CIO, Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability
