Education on the Go — Mobile Services Enable Outdoor Learning

Whether you’re keeping social distancing practices in place or simply need a change of scenery and some fresh air, there are countless benefits to spending time outdoors.

With University IT’s (UIT) mobile hotspot service, the world is yours to explore — without losing sight of your work and classes.

Take it outside

A mobile hotspot is a device that offers a wireless and password-protected Wi-Fi connection using your smartphone, laptop, tablet or other smart device. Using one of these hotspots allows you to take a classroom, workspace, meeting or retreat outside or to an alternate location.

Each hotspot allows up to 20 connections. If you need internet access for more than 20 people or devices, a secondary hotspot will do the job.

Place your order

Mobile hotspots are available to all university faculty and staff members. Learn more about pricing and how to order on the Services for Outdoor Learning webpage
