Overview
A Statement of Work (SOW) is an optional input to a Project Charter. It is a document that provides the business need and an overview of the qualities/characteristics of intended deliverables/products the project would provide. The SOW also describes what is and is NOT included in the project. The Project Manager coordinates creation of the SOW, but most of the content comes from the business project sponsor and business owner.
