Cardinal Flex supports flexible work schedules by making it easy to reserve a desk whenever you need it, for solo work or collaboration with others. To keep the experience positive for everyone, we’re sharing a few reminders for both employees and workspace administrators.
For employees
When reserving or using a shared workspace:
- Look for spaces designated for your group or close to your usual work area.
- Reserve spaces within buildings or areas where you have authorized access.
- Keep shared spaces tidy and clean the area when you’re done.
- Remember to take your personal items with you when your reservation is up.
- Release any reservations for the space if your plans change so others can use it.
For space administrators
To ensure the reservation system runs smoothly, please keep the resources (spaces) for each of your groups updated. Additionally, consider sharing a few reminders by posting an information sheet or QR code in the workspaces you oversee. You might want to:
- Encourage everyone to keep the workspace clean and welcoming.
- Include any restrictions if the space should not be used by non-group/department/school members, etc.
- Remind people about any limitations on desk usage, such as participating in video conference calls or eating in work areas, if applicable.
- Let employees know who to contact if they have questions or need assistance.
What is Cardinal Flex?
The Cardinal Flex Workspace Reservation System enables space administrators to easily manage their shared workspaces. It also helps staff without a dedicated workspace to quickly find and reserve a shared workspace when they are in a campus office.
