Changes to CrashPlan URLs

CrashPlan, the staff and faculty data backup solution provided by University IT (UIT), made network security updates that changed their URLs. The change will require CrashPlan to discontinue redirect URLs to the CrashPlan console (crashplan.com/console) beginning Sept. 15, 2023.

URL changes: 

• CrashPlan console URL: console.us2.crashplan.com replaces crashplan.com/console
• Server address for CrashPlan app connections: clients.us2.crashplan.com replaces central.crashplan.com

How this impacts you

No action is required; however, if you log into the CrashPlan console, we recommend updating any bookmarks to the old console URL to point to the new console.us2.crashplan.com URL before Sept. 15.
