Access Research.gov With SUNet IDs

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) recently implemented multifactor authentication for Research.gov to combat cybersecurity threats. This added security measure helps to ensure that only authorized users can access federal resources online. 

Alternatively, Stanford University researchers can log into the Research.gov platform using their SUNet, streamlining the login process while maintaining security. Please note that this option is available only if your SUNet address is listed as the primary email address associated with your NSF account.

SUNet login on Research.gov

To log into Research.gov using your SUNet ID:

  1. On the login page, click the “Organization Credentials” dropdown menu, and select “Stanford University.”

  2. The single sign-on process will initiate.
