Before You Log Out for Winter Break, Please Take a Look at University IT’s Update
Winter closure takes place from Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at 5 p.m. through Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at 8 a.m. University IT (UIT) will offer limited IT support to the Stanford community from Dec. 18 through Jan. 2.
During this time, UIT support is available for offices and labs that remain open on the main campus and the Redwood City campus, and for those who will be cracking open their laptops at home or using their Stanford-issued mobile devices over the winter break.

The UIT Service Desk will be open 24 hours per day during the break.
Support for most IT, account, and voice issues will be available at any time during the break by dialing 650-725-4357 (5-HELP).
Support for Stanford mobile devices, including device activation, international plan changes (with fee assessed), and technical support, will continue during winter closure through our 5-HELP (650-725-4357) support line. All activations, plan changes, and technical issues will be handled and monitored during the posted UIT Service Desk hours.
Our IT Operations Center will also be open 24 hours per day during the break monitoring all critical UIT systems and services. Non-emergency requests that require the support of UIT or distributed support groups, which are not staffed during winter closure, will be addressed during the week of Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
