Today, September 13, from 1:05 to 1:45 p.m. Stanford experienced a network outage that impacted services such as general web traffic, email, and telephone service that use the network (VoIP).
University IT's network technicians identified faulty equipment and removed it from the network. This restored network service to normal operation.
Email may experience a temporary delay (5-10 minutes) as the backlog of traffic works its way through the systems.
