Introduction to JavaScript

-
Zoom

January 21 & 28

JavaScript was once used for simple button clicks. Now, with it being the base for everything from data analysis, web interfaces, and full-stack applications, it's a great time to understand the basics in this one-day class.

This course will focus on the best practices that make JavaScript a useful language. With the basic syntax covered, we will work with the core language features that underlie all JavaScript projects and JavaScript frameworks. Through a combination of task-based instruction, visual examples, and labs, developers will isolate the JavaScript core types in the browser to see how the JavaScript language differs from Java or other Object Oriented languages.
