Siteimprove’s Analytics Script Helps You Prioritize Issues to Fix

Tuesday, October 26, 2021

When you see a list of 11,789 pages with broken links you may be tempted to close your browser and run away.

It’s a daunting number of links to find and fix. But with Siteimprove’s Analytics, you can prioritize your work by quickly identifying which pages with broken links are getting the most traffic.

The Analytics script from Siteimprove can also help you determine where to start when it comes to fixing pages with QA, Accessibility and other issues. Instead of looking at which pages have the most issues, first look at which pages have the most traffic.

In the screenshot below, you can see the Pages with Broken Links view from a site that’s running the Analytics script. This list can be sorted by Page views or by Clicks on broken links giving you an idea of which links are actually being clicked.

In order to use Analytics on your website, you’ll need to add the Siteimprove Analytics JavaScript code.

The script

How to add the script to your site

You’ll want to review Siteimprove’s instructions before adding the Analytics script to your site.

If you have any questions about installing the script on your site, please let us know and we can work with you and/or your server administrator to get it set up.
