Business units can receive IT project management guidance and support from an assigned UIT Project Manager (PM). A UIT PM is responsible for overseeing the entire project management lifecycle, encompassing initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure. The UIT PM takes an independent leadership role in directing projects that require a high level of functional integration, involving the coordination of multiple teams and stakeholders. Examples of project types include vendor selection and implementation, SaaS projects, development, and application upgrades.
