Expanded List of International Toll-free and Toll Numbers Available on Zoom

Wednesday, January 17, 2018

If your work requires you to collaborate with people around the world, University IT (UIT)  just made it easier to do so. Zoom participants who call in to meetings from abroad can use new toll-free or toll numbers in over 90 countries.

In September 2017, UIT provided toll-free numbers for participants joining a Zoom meeting from the United States, the Caribbean, or Canada. This month, UIT expanded the list of numbers to include a wide range of countries in Central and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Each Zoom meeting invitation now lists toll-free and toll call-in numbers for the United States, the Caribbean, and Canada, and includes a link to the expanded list of international numbers. These numbers are also available on the Stanford Zoom website.

“This expanded list of international numbers makes Zoom more accessible and cost-effective for members of the Stanford community and their colleagues when they collaborate around the world,” said Maria Maravilla, director of service strategy and delivery for IT Services in UIT.  “We are excited to provide a tool that helps Stanford pursue its mission globally.”
