Cisco Unity Voicemail Cheat Sheet

This cheat sheet was created for the SHC/SCH early migration to the Cisco Unity voicemail system.

Important note
Only a few pilot groups will be using the Cisco Unity voicemail system before the campus-wide rollout on October 2. Consequently, if you send or reply to a voicemail from within the new voicemail system, it will only reach the person if they are using the new voicemail system.

How to access your voicemail

If you are calling from your desk phone or softphone:

1. Press the messages button on your desk phone or dial your on-campus access number:
   • For a Cisco phone at Stanford Health Care (SHC), dial 7-4444.
   • For a Cisco phone at Stanford Children's Health (SCH), dial 8-4444.
2. Enter your PIN then press # (pound key).

If you are calling from a phone within your organization that is not yours:

1. Press the messages button on a desk phone or dial your on-campus access number:
   • For a Cisco phone at Stanford Health Care (SHC), dial 7-4444.
   • For a Cisco phone at Stanford Children's Health (SCH), dial 8-4444.
2. When prompted to enter your PIN, press * (star key).
3. The system asks for your ID. Enter your 10-digit Stanford phone number (your number with the area code, such as 650-123-4567) then press # (pound key).
4. The system asks for your PIN. Enter the number then press #.

If you are calling from an outside line:

1. Dial your external access number.
   • If you use a Cisco phone at Stanford Health Care (SHC), dial 650-497-4444.
   • If you use a Cisco phone at Stanford Children's Health (SCH), dial 650-498-4444.
2. When the system asks for your ID, enter your 10-digit Stanford phone number (your number with the area code, such as 650-123-4567) then press # (pound key).
3. When the system asks for your PIN, enter your PIN, then press # (pound key).
