Stanford provides fiber-based internet service to eligible faculty and staff residences, with speeds up 1 Gbps via wired connection. The service includes a Stanford-managed residential gateway and support from University IT.

Payments are managed through Stanford’s CASHNet billing system. Users can view their bill, make payments, and set up automatic payments within the system.

Submit the Add Residential Service form to begin the sign-up process, including scheduling a one to two-hour installation appointment with a technician.
A typical installation appointment includes:
- Gateway installation
- Network activation
- Basic connectivity testing

Before contacting support, you may want to try these quick steps:
- Restart your residential gateway by unplugging it for 30 seconds.
- Check that your devices are connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Try connecting with a wired Ethernet cable to confirm performance.
- Confirm there is no known outage affecting your area.
