Microsoft Email Recovering
As of about 2:30 PM, Stanford Office 365 email boxes are again receiving emails.
Microsoft was experiencing a nationwide outage on its infrastructure. As a result, Stanford Office 365 email boxes were not receiving incoming emails from approximately 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 30.
During the outage, emails were queued. Although you should start receiving emails soon, they will arrive in random order, not in the order in which they were sent. Microsoft estimates it will take several hours before all emails are delivered.
University IT regrets the inconvenience this outage caused and will continue to work with Microsoft to prevent future outages.
