Setting, changing, or deleting your covering

This procedure lets you enter another person's paging ID to which the system transfers callers paging you. After callers enter your ID number, the system tells them that someone else is covering your pages and then the system can page the "covering" person.

DIAL:  222

ENTER:  and YOUR 5-DIGIT PAGING ID

ENTER:  YOUR PASSWORD

If you have not set a password, skip to the next step.

PRESS:  #

PRESS:  1

If you already have a covering ID entered and want to delete it without replacing it, you can press 2 at this step and then hang up.

PRESS:  1

ENTER:  5-DIGIT PAGING ID OF THE PERSON COVERING FOR YOU

The system plays back the covering paging ID number.

When you finish entering the covering ID, hang up, or listen to the system prompts and press the appropriate number to use another feature.

DON'T FORGET: Having a covering ID number entered will override all paging status settings. Remember to delete the covering ID number when you are ready to receive pages again.

Changing your paging status

This procedure lets you change your paging status to reflect your current paging availability. Callers hear your status setting when they attempt to page you.

DIAL:  222

ENTER:  and YOUR 5-DIGIT PAGING ID

ENTER:  YOUR PASSWORD

If you have not set a password, skip to the next step.

ENTER:  YOUR NEW STATUS CODE

Note: A list of status codes and their effects is available below. You can also hear a listing by using this procedure and pressing # followed by 3 after entering your password.

After entering the appropriate status code, hang up, or press the appropriate number to perform another function.

Status codes

2  for "Available on premises."
5  for "Not available."
6  for "Page for emergencies."

Setting, changing, or deleting your password

This procedure lets you set or change a paging ID password to help prevent others from changing your feature settings. Once you set a password, the system will prompt you for it each time you dial in to change your settings.

DIAL:  222

ENTER:  and YOUR 5-DIGIT PAGING ID

ENTER:  YOUR PASSWORD

If you have not set a password, skip to the next step.

PRESS:  #

PRESS:  4

PRESS:  1

If you want to delete your password without replacing it, you can press 2 at this step and then hang up.

ENTER:  YOUR NEW PASSWORD and #

The system plays back your password. Your password cannot exceed 7 digits.

When you finish setting your password, hang up, or listen to the systems prompts and press the appropriate number to perform another function.

Recording or re-recording your personal greeting

This procedure lets you record a personal greeting that callers hear when they call in to page you. You can use this message to provide callers with more detailed information than is available from your paging status.

DIAL:  222

ENTER:  and YOUR 5-DIGIT PAGING ID

ENTER:  YOUR PASSWORD

If you have not set a password, skip to the next step

PRESS:  #

PRESS:  6

PRESS:  1

If you already have a personal greeting entered and want to delete it without replacing it, you can press 2 at this step and then hang up.

RECORD:  YOUR GREETING at the tone

PRESS:  #

The system plays back your recording.

When you finish recording, hang up, or listen to the system prompts and press the appropriate number to use another feature.

DON'T FORGET: Recording a personal greeting does NOT override your paging status. Be sure to set your paging status appropriately also.

Setting, changing, or deleting your referral

This procedure lets you enter a telephone number to which the system refers callers paging you. After callers enter your pager ID number, the system tells them you are taking calls at the referral phone number you have entered.

DIAL:  222

ENTER:  and YOUR 5-DIGIT PAGING ID

ENTER:  YOUR PASSWORD

If you have not set a password, skip to the next step.

PRESS:  #

PRESS:  2

If you already have a referral phone number entered and want to delete it without replacing it, you can press 2 at this step and then hang up.

PRESS:  1

ENTER:  REFERRAL PHONE NUMBER

PRESS:  #

The system plays back your referral phone number.

When you finish entering the referral number, hang up, or listen to the system prompts and press the appropriate number to use another feature.

DON'T FORGET: Having a referral phone number entered will override all paging status settings. Remember to delete the referral phone number when you are ready to receive pages again.

Recording or re-recording your spoken name

This procedure lets you record your name. The recording is played back for callers paging you to help verify they have entered the correct ID.

DIAL:  222

ENTER:  and YOUR 5-DIGIT PAGING ID

ENTER:  YOUR PASSWORD

If you have not set a password, skip to the next step.

PRESS:  #

PRESS:  5

PRESS:  1

If you already have a spoken name entered and want to delete it without replacing it, you can press 2 at this step and then hang up.

RECORD:  YOUR NAME at the tone

PRESS:  #

The system plays back your recording.

When you finish recording, hang up, or listen to the system prompts and press the appropriate number to perform another function.
