Device Enrollment

Complete a simple enrollment process to ensure devices that can access Stanford data are only used by identified people

Stanford Device Registration  has launched. SDR brings the functionality of Stanford Whole Disk Encryption (SWDE), Device Enrollment, the Stanford Network Registration Tool (SNRT), and Compliance Checker into one place, so you no longer need to download various apps to achieve device compliance. To support the transition, you'll continue to have access to SWDE and Device Enrollment. However, these apps will eventually be retired. Learn more.

The device enrollment process gathers basic information about your device and how you use it via a brief questionnaire. Enrollment associates a device with the person who is responsible for its data security in MyDevices.

Your affiliation with the university and the type of  information you access determines the type of security your device needs in order to use Stanford data.

The Device Enrollment service is for Windows and Macintosh desktop and laptop computers and iOS and Android mobile devices.  Enrollment for mobile devices is accomplished directly via MyDevices.
