Change Your Voicemail Password Online

Your password is your protection from unauthorized use of your voice mailbox. Information Technology Services does not keep track of passwords, so be sure to choose one that you will remember. You can change your password at any time.

Note: If you have forgotten your password, you can call 5-HELP (650-725-4357) to receive a new temporary password.

To use the online portal to change your voice mailbox password:

  1. Log in to the web portal at http://myvoicemail.stanford.edu. (Remind me how)
    The Welcome (Voice Messaging) screen displays.
  2. Click Options.

  3. Under User Information, click Password.

  4. Click Voice Mailbox Password.

  5. In the appropriate fields, type your current password, your new password, and then your new password again to confirm.
    The new password must be all digits, from 6 to 19 digits in length, and should be easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. It cannot be your ten-digit mailbox (phone) number.
