Technology Briefings are free sessions that are open to all members of the Stanford community. The intent of these sessions is to share information about new and emerging technologies, provide vendor updates, and inform users about changes to campus technologies. No registration is required to attend these events.

What are client certificates, and how will they make our lives easier while improving security?  

Stanford will begin supporting client certificate-based authentication in early 2018.

 In this session, the University's Chief Information Security Officer explains how this technology works and why we're devoting extensive resources to deploying it.
