Class Description

Effective immediately in response to COVID-19, all Technology Training classes will be delivered online until further notice.

In advance of each session, Tech Training will provide you with a Zoom link to your class, along with any required class materials.

 



Learn best practices of using Google Drive and Shared drives at Stanford, along with the Google App suite to facilitate collaboration within your group.

  • Managing permissions with files and folders to assign viewing, editing, and commenting rights
  • Collaborating with documents
  • Assigning tasks within documents

  • Tips and tricks on using Google File Stream for your desktop
  • Design and maintain an organized, cloud-based file structure to increase team productivity

 

Afternoon:

 

You will have the opportunity to practice with Google's online applications -- Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

 

Discover how to get started, and how to create, import, export, save, and share files on any computer, smartphone, or tablet.

 

You will have the opportunity to learn about Google Docs' powerful text editing and formatting tools, so you can create powerfully effective documents and share them with anyone. Understand how to build Google Sheets spreadsheets for finance and other tasks. Create and deliver highly effective presentations with Google Slides.
