Would you like to learn more about photography? Do you want to expand your skills and discover more about the details and lighting in a photograph? Have you ever wondered how Macro (close-ups) shots are achieved?
In this class, we will discuss the skills and basic knowledge that are required to achieve Macro and Product photography. We will cover photography basics like composition, lighting, exposure, manual focus, and depth of field.
This class will also explore the best techniques, including going over some of the best industry-standard practices, for utilizing hardware and software (camera/apps) to capture your Macro and Product Photography.
- You will be uploading photos from your camera to your computer
- Adobe Lightroom is not covered in this class
- Smart devices are fine for class (phones or tablets)
Topics & Activities
We will learn about photography basics, lighting, depth of field, manual focus, 3rd party apps/lens, and how to capture strong subject matters for Macro/Product Photography. After a brief introduction, we will step out to take photos of macro/product materials. You will be proved with a list of materials to choose from. Lastly, you will explore how to edit your photos and we will wrap up the class with a sharing portion.
