Class Description

Effective immediately in response to COVID-19, all Technology Training classes will be delivered online until further notice.

In advance of each session, Tech Training will provide you with a Zoom link to your class, along with any required class materials.

This two-part session is designed as an update for PMP candidates who have completed the required PMP educational requirements prior to Jan 2021. This course will also cover the three new knowledge domains required.

The practice of professional project management has been evolving to meet the challenges of a complex and rapidly changing business environment. Project managers now need more diverse skills and approaches than ever before. Consequently, as of January 2021, PMI has revised the content and knowledge required for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

This review series is designed as a condensed update for PMP candidates who have previously completed the required PMP educational requirements based on earlier content prior to Jan 2021. It is intended to complement the earlier education and help introduce candidates to the added content and the three new knowledge domains required.

The course examines People, Process, and Business Environment domains, as well as content that spans the value delivery spectrum, including predictive, agile, and hybrid, approaches as applied to these three domains.

Course Outline

  • The change: an overview
  • Why agile? Values, principles, and main benefits of the practice
  • Agile Core concepts and artifacts
  • The Agile Team: roles, responsibilities, and performance measurement
  • Agile planning and estimating
  • Other Agile approaches: Lean, XP, Disciplined Agile
