Jabber for Mac Quick Start Guide

Internet connection

Stanford University affiliates: Any wired or wireless network connections is sufficient.

SHC and SCH affiliates: We recommend that you connect to Jabber via a wired network. If you choose to connect via Wi-Fi, please select SHCMed-WLAN (for Stanford Health Care) or LPCH_WLANg-v1 (for Stanford Children's Health). If you connect to any other network, you only see the contacts’ SIDs instead of the contacts' names.

If connecting to Jabber via Wi-Fi, select SHCMed-WLAN as your network.
