What is Salesforce?

Salesforce is a strategic cloud vendor that enables you to track, manage, and report on different types of constituent interactions and experiences. Salesforce provides the benefit of enhanced collaboration and communication, improved sharing of information across working groups and departments, streamlined processes, and workflows.

At Stanford, our objective is to connect and create lifelong relationships, enhance  communication, streamline workflows and operational efficiencies, and share information across departments and groups.

Some ways Salesforce benefits and supports the higher education experience:

Salesforce Customer Success Platform

Platform, AI, Data, Services, Development LAyer and Applications

  • The foundation of the platform is data – data from every source, powering intelligent apps on any device.
  • On top of the data is the intelligence layer with Einstein. All of the artificial intelligence in Salesforce becomes part of the platform.
  • On top of Einstein is Lightning, which enables partners, IT departments, and individual Trailblazers to build application and drive value.
  • At the top are the leading business applications – Sales, Service, Marketing, Community, Analytics, Apps, Commerce, IoT, Quip, and the AppExchange.
