Working Over Winter Closure? We Are Too!

University IT will offer limited IT support to the Stanford community from Dec. 21 through Jan. 3.

’Twas the last two weeks in December, and all through the Farm, UIT Support Teams were stirring ... rescuing you from IT harm!

As you probably know, winter closure for the Stanford campus is Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 through Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 (regular operations end on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 and resume on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017).

During this time, University IT support is available for those offices and labs on campus that remain open, or for those who will be cracking open their laptops at home or using their Stanford-issued mobile devices over the winter closure.

Critical system problems
Our IT Operations Center is open 24x7x365. All systems will be monitored, and support staff will be pulled in to investigate any service issues.

Service support
Our Service Desk will be open most days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for the following university holidays: Dec. 23, 24, 25, and 26, 2016 and Jan. 1 and 2, 2017. Staff will answer calls and respond to your help tickets. Requests that require other support groups, which are not staffed during winter closure, will be addressed on Wednesday, Jan. 4. 2017.
