Learn the basics necessary to create/edit professional-looking images using Adobe Photoshop. This class covers image manipulation, photos editing and exporting images for print or web.

Objectives

This one-day hands-on class introduces the most robust photo editing program out there. We will get you comfortable with Photoshop's basic tools and interface. You will work with layers, filters, styles, editing, and retouching photos. We will introduce the basics of working with text, brush techniques, converting images for websites and the top 10 time-saving tricks.

Activities

Photoshop gives you the ability to manipulate any image to your liking. We start the class by covering the most frequently used tools -- resulting in an instant improvement of any photos that are too dark, dull or damaged. Correct your images contrast and remove objects from the background. We will also learn how to restore old/damaged photos using the healing brush and clone stamp tools.

As we get more comfortable isolating specific parts to an image and making adjustments to it, we will begin working with layers and create composite photos made from multiple images and text.

By the end of the class we will have covered many of the tools Photoshop offers -- allowing you to enhance, crop, straighten, re-size, photo correction for any print or web project.

This class will be taught on Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud.
